At Ecolux, we consciously strive to produce doors efficiently, minimizing waste and reducing pollutants. We source raw lumber from suppliers certified as legal by the Indonesian government. This lumber undergoes scrutiny by the Sistem Verifakasi Legalitas Kayu (SVLK), also known as the Timber Legality Assurance Standard (TLAS), ensuring its origin from legally harvested forests and verifying responsible forest management practices by the logging company.
Additionally, Ecolux is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC/TUVDC-COC-101007), underscoring our commitment to fair wages and working environment for our employees, sourcing lumber from legal channels, and implementing measures to preserve the Indonesian forest.
One of the ways we reduce waste in our production facility is by creating wood pellets from sawdust and wood shavings collected from manufacturing waste. These pellets are subsequently used as fuel.
Using pellets as a fuel source is a superior alternative to utilizing fossil fuels, given that they are derived from renewable energy.
